Amisulpride Tablets 200 mg
Apropride – 200
Description
Amisulpride Tablets 200 mg – Amisulpride is part of a class of drugs known as ‘antipsychotics’, and they are mainly employed in the long-term (chronic) treatment of schizophrenia and postoperative nausea/vomiting. Schizophrenia is marked by hallucination signs (hearing or seeing things which do not exist) and delusions (erroneous beliefs). In schizophrenic illnesses, there are positive symptoms (such as delusions, hallucinations and disorders of thought) and negative symptoms (such as blunted affect, social withdrawal and emotional). Nausea is an uncomfortable sensation in which the individual needs to vomit, while vomiting is an involuntary reflex action that ejects the contents of the stomach through the mouth.
Amisulpride has Amisulpride restores the balance of some natural chemicals in the brain. The principal action of Amisulpride is to block some dopamine receptors in the brain and rectify the overactivity of dopamine. Conversely, it also impacts other brain neurotransmitters like serotonin (5-HT), which can also result in its therapeutic action. Amisulpride also prevents the feeling of vomiting/nausea by inhibiting the D2 receptors that are found in the chemoreceptor trigger zone (CTZ) of the brain that causes vomiting.
