Description
Risperidone Mouth Dissolving 1mg Tablets – Risperidone Mouth Dissolving 1mg Tablets is used in the treatment of schizophrenia. It can be taken alone or by combining with other medicines to treat mania or mixed episodes in adults or children above 10 years with bipolar disorder.
Risperidone mouth dissolving tablets are also used to treat behavioural problems in children aged 5 to 16 years with autism. The medicine blocks the effects of chemical messengers in the brain, thus improving mood, behaviour, and thoughts. The medicine elevates the symptoms of the disease and prevents them from emerging again.
Directions for Use
- Place the tablet on your tongue and allow it to dissolve.
- Do not chew or crush the tablet.
Side Effects of Risperidone Mouth Dissolving Tablets
There are a number of side effects associated with it. They are listed as follows –
Drowsiness – Avoid consuming alcohol to ease the drowsiness caused by the medicine.
Trouble Falling/Staying Asleep – Develop a calming pre-sleep routine to let your body prepare for sleep.

Consult your doctor before taking Risperidone Mouth Dissolving Tablets if you–

Proper Use of Risperidone Mouth Dissolving Tablet
When using the orally disintegrating tablet:
Do not open the package until you are ready to take the medicine. To remove one tablet, separate one of the 4 tablets by tearing it apart on the perforations.
Bend the corner as shown on the package. Peel back the foil. Do not push the tablet through the foil because that could damage the tablet.
With dry hands, take the tablet out of the package. Place it immediately on your tongue. Do not store the tablet once it is removed from the package.
The tablet will disintegrate in seconds after it is placed on the tongue.
You may swallow the tablet with or without liquid. Do not split or chew the tablet.
