This tablet is not advisable in patients with asthma and central nervous depression disorders.

How Promethazine Tablet works ?

Promethazine is an antiallergic drug. When your body gets exposed to an allergen (pollen, pet dander, house dust, etc.), your body releases a chemical called histamine. This results in watery eyes, runny or stuffed nose, sneezing, skin rashes, itching, etc. Promethazine operates by preventing histamine from acting, thus preventing these symptoms. It also acts directly on a number of locations of the brain in order to prevent nausea/vomiting and make you feel calmer.
