Trihexyphenidyl HCL I.P. 2 mg tablets- Trihexyphenidyl Hydrochloride tablets are used in the treatment of tremors, smooth muscle spasms, stiffness, and weak muscle control experienced by victims of Parkinson’s disease (a progressive nervous system disorder that affects movement). These tablets also treat drug-induced extrapyramidal effects such as acute dyskinesia (involuntary contraction of facial muscles) and dystonic reactions (involuntary contraction of muscles), akinesia (losing the ability to move your muscles voluntarily), akathisia (feeling restless to the extent you cannot sit still), and neuroleptic malignant syndrome (very high fever, irregular heartbeat, excessive sweating, etc) in some cases. 

Chemical Class: Anticholinergic medication

Mode of Action: Trihexyphenidyl works by inhibiting the actions of endogenous acetylcholine used for the treatment of Parkinson’s disease. 

Habit-Forming: No habit-forming tendency was reported.
